THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU LEAVE FOR YOUR HILTON HEAD VACATION

~ Please make sure you have your confirmation letter that was emailed to you from our office.

~ Make sure you understand the directions on how to get to the check-in office which is NOT located in Shipyard Plantation where the resort is located.

~ Please keep the after hours number on hand if you will be arriving after the office closes. Our after hours phone numbers are 843-247-1949 or 843-247-1950

~ Please remember that our property is smoke free and pet free.

~ If you will be arriving at night, please be aware that due to town ordinances, there is very little lighting around street signs and business signs.

~ Our Low Country wildlife is very abundant. You will see alligators, turtles, a variety of birds and deer. These creatures are fascinating to observe but please be aware that there are laws prohibiting certain interactions with these animals and some can be very dangerous.

~ During your stay, you may come across some not so pleasant creatures such as raccoons, possums, lizards and even palmetto bugs. Our property is properly exterminated monthly but with doors and windows opening and closing and the damp weather; there is still a possibility of these unsightly creatures entering your villa. Please make sure to always tightly close the windows and doors when you leave your unit.

~  Alligators live among us! Be gator safe! Please do not approach or harass the alligators - Never feed an alligator - A fed alligator loses its natural fear of humans. This can pose a danger to the public and ultimately results in having to remove and put down the alligator.

~ Parking will not be a problem as our resort offers plenty of space for you and your guests. The Plantation does have some restrictions that are strictly enforced. You will not be able to bring boats, trailers, RV’s, motorcycles, etc. on the Plantation.

~ If you are not an owner, you will need to rent bikes to use while you are here. This is highly recommended. Please call Palmetto Bikes at 843-686-6068.

~ If you are flying in, it is highly recommended that you rent a car during your stay.

~ You will need to provide your own beach and pool towels.

~ Pack beach chairs and umbrellas if you plan to use them. There will be some stations that rent them on the beaches as well.

~ Be sure to make your tennis and golf reservations in advance if you plan to play the first day you arrive.

~ If you plan to utilize the kitchen while you are here, you may want to bring some essentials from home. (Ex: salt, pepper, condiments, seasonings, etc.)

~ There is a full sized washer and dryer in the unit. You will be given detergent good for one load to get you started. You may want to bring extra from home if you plan on laundering clothes or towels during your stay.

~ There is a DVD player in the unit. Bring a few DVD’s in case of a rainy day.

~ If you have any questions regarding your upcoming stay, please call our office and our staff will be glad to assist you.
